Related glass types

CORNING 0211 is a drawn thin glass made by a process that engenders a nearly flawless fire-polished surface. It has a minimal thickness tolerance and excellent uniformity.

Corning's 0211 micro-sheet glass is available from stock in various standard thicknesses. Although 0211 thin glass contains alkali, it has a soda content of only about 50% of ordinary soda-lime glasses. 0211 is often the base material for specialty microscope slides or coverslips.

Note: 0211 borosilicate glass was discontinued by CORNING many years ago. We still have some of that glass in stock. However, you might want to base your new developments on other glass sheet materials. For high-quality thin and ultra-thin glass sheets, please visit our D 263 T datasheet.
