0211 thin glass made by CORNING is drawn by a unique process which engenders a nearly flawless, fire-polished surface. 0211 glass has very small thickness tolerances and shows a good uniformity. Corning's 0211 micro-sheet glass is available from stock at various standard thicknesses. Although 0211 thin-glass contains alkali, it has a soda content of only about 50 % of ordinary soda-lime glasses. 0211 is often used as a base material for special microscope slides or cover-slips.

Note: 0211 borosilicate glass has been discontinued by CORNING some years ago. We still have some sheets of that glass in stock left though. However, you might want to base your new developments on other glass sheet materials. For thin and ultra thin glass sheets, please visit our D263 data-sheet.
