Who we are

Präzisions Glas & Optik GmbH is an owner-managed industrial company with an international clientele. For over 30 years, we have been manufacturing optical components and optics from special technical glass in series for industry and research worldwide. Small team, flat hierarchies, informal address instead of formal address, no dress codes. What counts for us is what you can do, not what you look like—and everyone is allowed to be themselves. We don't force anyone into a mold. That's probably why our employees have been with us for many years.

 

What to expect

  • Independent processing of customer orders—from the initial inquiry to preparing quotations and coordinating delivery
  • Direct contact with international customers and suppliers, often in English Support with import/export processes and shipping documentation
  • Working with our in-house company software on Mac – a complete system developed over 30 years that covers all business processes: quotations, calculations, correspondence, order processing, machine connection. Perfectly coordinated, intuitive to use – no external Office programs required.
  • Interface between customers, production, and shipping—you hold everything together

 

What you bring to the table

  • Completed commercial training (e.g., office management, wholesale and foreign trade, industrial clerk)
  • Very good written and spoken English – you communicate with partners worldwide on a daily basis
  • You shouldn't be afraid of Macs—we work exclusively with Apple
  • You work in a structured manner, contribute ideas, and take action instead of waiting for instructions.
  • Work experience is a plus, but not a must—what really matters is your commitment and willingness to learn.
  • An interest in technology is a plus—prior knowledge of optics is not necessary, but technical product names should not deter you.

Production Manager in the field of ‘Thin Specialty Glass and Optics’

- (m/f/d) Full-time position

Requirements:

Excellent knowledge and expertise in all standard processes and areas of industrial specialty glass processing are required (CNC-glass cutting, thin glass breaking, grinding, edging, beveling, machine programming, CAD knowledge, etc.). Basic requirements include the ability to independently and efficiently plan manufacturing operations within our existing system, from manufacturing preparation to quality control, and ensure smooth execution.

The job will interface between sales and manufacturing in our flat glass area, among other duties. Good teamwork and integration skills are essential.

Full-time job "Industrial glass processing" (production area)

- (m/f/d) Full-time job

Requirements:

Knowledge of serial production, the operation of CNC machines, glass cleaning, and machine glass cutting, e.g., in the product areas of thin glass, front surface mirrors, and similar products, is required. It is in the nature of the job offered to have a very clean, well-structured way of working and a good understanding of technical processes. A particular skill with thin glass, small glass parts, and sensitive materials would be beneficial. Furthermore, good team spirit and communication skills are critical requirements. After successful training, resulting in excellent skills, it is possible to plan and perform production projects.
