Sheet glass, flat glass and plate glass materials are either fabricated by using the float-glass process, or they are drawn to sheets. They usually are clear and transparent and feature fire polished surfaces. All our sheet glasses are available at various standard thicknesses with low nominal thickness tolerances. For most applications, our technical grade sheet glass doesn't even require an additional polishing process to be used for an optical application. Most of these transparent glasses can be CNC-cut very precisely, which is resulting in considerable cost savings to the customer and lower cost of the end product. Most of the listed technical quality flat glass types feature a very smooth surface, a good optical flatness, a display grade quality plus a low micro roughness. Especially the micro roughness of sheet glass often is better than what can be achieved by a standard mechanical polishing process. Some of the materials shown in this category are the best choice for bulk productions. They offer both, a superior glass quality and the cost control required. Below, please find the links to our technical grade sheet glass types that are part of our extensive glass delivery program. Just follow the links to the respective data-sheets to see the specifications and to view the typical transmission curves of each sheet glass below:
