Our SIR dielectric heat reflecting hot mirror has a decisive
advantage over common hot mirrors or heat absorbing filters. The transmission of visible light of our SIR hot mirror is higher and more neutral, while the heat radiation up to 1.100nm is reflected more efficiently. Because of its all dielectric coating construction and the heat resistant borosilicate glass substrate, our SIR hot mirrors can be used at high operating temperatures. The standard SIR hot mirror withstands operating temperatures of up to 400°C. An all dielectric multilayer thin film coating design, makes our SIR heat reflection filters resistant against humidity and other environments. Our hot mirror coatings can be modified in regards to transmission and reflection ranges, as well as to the cut-on and cut-off wavelengths.
