reflectivity of the mirrors. This coating also protects the aluminum thin film that is coated on a high quality glass substrate. Because the optically effective mirror coating is located directly on top of the surface of a glass substrate, an excellent imaging quality can be achieved with our first surface mirrors. Ghost imaging which is inherent to the functional principle of back surface coated mirrors, are completely avoided. Both SEA front surface mirror series feature a good resistance to heat, humidity and abrasion. Our SEA mirrors are economically priced technical first surface mirrors which proofed to be an ideal solution for applications that require a good optical performance, and a high mechanical stability at low cost. Therefore many high volume applications are based on our high quality SEA front surface mirrors. The SEA-NIR near infrared mirror design is an economically priced alternative to gold first surface mirrors when used in NIR (near infrared) or IR (infrared) systems, even if used as a laser mirror at medium light power and with moderate optical requirements. The dielectric overcoatings of our front surface aluminium mirrors can be optimized and shifted to enhance the reflectivity of special wavelengths.
