Our silver-coated front surface mirror features a very high, broadband reflection of >98% in the visible range and are capable of maintaining a high reflectivity up to the infrared. Unlike dielectric mirror optics, our silver mirror coating is reflective almost independent of polarization and works at a wide range of angles of incidence. Due to the relative soft coating, a silver coated front surface mirror normally is not used in applications where they are exposed to high mechanical load or abrasion or in harsh environments*. However, due to the dielectric overcoating, that is deposited on top of the metallic mirrors, they are well protected from oxidation. The high quality mirror grade glass substrate we use to make the SHP front surface mirrors, keeps distortions low. As a result of their extraordinary optical properties, our high reflection silver-metal mirror coating has its special place in many optical and laser applications, which require broadband high reflection optical front surface mirror optics.
We are not restricted to a few stock mirror dimensions, like it is often the case for catalog product resellers. We have specialized in rapid manufacturing of custom mirror sizes, so even a special sized standard front surface mirror optics at large quantities usually takes less than a week to arrive on your desk. This is of great advantage because the mirror will fit your application perfectly and can be used without any required extra time and effort to adapt your application to a fixed size catalog product.
