Our Silver coated Front surface mirrors have a very high, broadband visible reflection. Unlike dielectric mirrors, our silver first surface mirror coating’s reflection is almost independent of polarization and features a wide range of different angles of incidence. Due to the relative soft silver coating, silver coated mirrors normally are not used in applications where they could be exposed to high mechanical load or abrasion or in harsh environments. However, as a result of their optical properties at moderate cost, technical silver mirror coatings have their particular place in many sepcial high reflection applications.
